Chimpanzee Trekking in Nyungwe Forest

Wake up early at sunrise and head to Nyungwe Forest National Park for chimpanzee trekking adventure, join other trekkers at the park headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee trekking, the right way to behave and what to expect.
With armed rangers, head into the forest searching for chimpanzees, the trek takes approximately 2 to 4 hours or more depending on the movement of the chimpanzees and where they spent their previous night. Chimpanzees are very vocal primates and as you nearing the troop you will hear their sounds from a distance. Spend one hour in their presence watching them play, feed, pick fruits and grooming.
Your guides maintain a respectful distance, ensuring the chimpanzees remain undisturbed. As the hour ends, you will walk back through the vibrant undergrowth. Meet your drive and return to your lodge for an evening of rest.
