Welcome to Addis Ababa, the vibrant capital of Ethiopia. Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide from Peak Ethiopia Tours & Car Rental and transferred to your hotel.
After some rest, begin your exploration of the city with a unique introduction to Ethiopia’s world-famous coffee. Visit a local coffee exporter or processing center to understand the journey from bean to cup, followed by a fresh tasting experience.
Continue to the National Museum of Ethiopia, where you will see the famous fossil “Lucy,” one of the oldest human ancestors ever discovered. Then visit the historic Holy Trinity Cathedral, the final resting place of Emperor Haile Selassie.
After lunch, drive up to the Entoto Mountains for breathtaking panoramic views over the city. Visit the Ethnological Museum, located inside the former palace of Emperor Haile Selassie.
End the day with a visit to St. George Cathedral in Piazza.

Arrive in Hawassa in the afternoon, a peaceful lakeside city known for its relaxed atmosphere and birdlife. Enjoy a walk along Lake Hawassa, where you may see hippos and a variety of birds.

After breakfast, drive to Yirgacheffe, one of the most famous coffee-producing regions in the world.
Travel through lush green landscapes filled with coffee farms. Visit local cooperatives and smallholder farms to learn about traditional and modern coffee processing techniques, from harvesting to drying.
Continue to visit the ancient Tutu Fela Stelae, an archaeological site with carved standing stones that reflect the region’s ancient culture.
In the afternoon, proceed to Aregash Lodge, a beautiful eco-lodge surrounded by forest and coffee plantations. Relax in a peaceful natural setting.

Today is dedicated to a deeper immersion into Ethiopia’s coffee culture.
Visit coffee nurseries to see how seedlings are prepared and distributed to farmers. Walk through plantations and learn about sustainable farming practices and organic coffee production.
You will also experience a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony in a local village—an important cultural ritual symbolizing hospitality and community.
Enjoy the natural beauty, birdlife, and tranquil environment of the around Yirga Alem and Yirgacheffe.

Day 5

Early in the morning, visit the lively Hawassa Fish Market, where fishermen bring fresh catch from the lake—an authentic and vibrant local experience.
Then begin your return journey to Addis Ababa. On the way, stop at Bishoftu (Debre Zeit), known for its scenic crater lakes, for lunch and relaxation.
Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, enjoy some last-minute shopping or leisure time.
In the evening, attend a farewell dinner at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant with cultural music and dance performances.
Transfer to the airport for your departure.
