Day 1

Upon arrival at Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari guide who will brief you about your Tanzania adventure. After a short introduction, you will begin your short journey towards Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife destinations, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees.

The drive takes you through beautiful landscapes, local villages, and the countryside of northern Tanzania. Upon arrival at the park, you will enjoy an afternoon game drive in search of wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, and a variety of bird species. The park’s seasonal Tarangire River attracts large concentrations of animals, especially during the dry season.

After an early breakfast, you will enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire National Park 6 hours drive, exploring its beautiful savannah landscapes, ancient baobab trees, and wildlife-rich areas. The morning hours provide excellent opportunities to spot animals as they are most active. You may encounter large herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, and various bird species.

After the game drive, you will exit Tarangire and continue your journey towards the legendary Serengeti National Park. The scenic drive takes you through the stunning landscapes of the Great Rift Valley and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with opportunities to enjoy views of crater highlands, local villages, and Maasai communities. Upon arrival in Serengeti, you will begin an evening game drive in search of the park’s famous wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. Immediately after your breakfast at the lodge, you will go for the morning game drive. Serengeti is one of the parks in the world with the highest species of wildlife. You can expect to see lots of elephants, wildebeests, lions, leopards/ cheetahs, buffaloes, and so many more that you may not be able to see in many other places. Besides the wildlife, there are also so many bird species, plants, and other attractions that you will be interested in watching as you drive through the park. Descend into the crater floor for an unforgettable morning game drive through this natural wonder, often referred to as the “Garden of Eden” due to its rich concentration of wildlife.

Explore the crater’s diverse habitats, where you may spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, and other wildlife. The crater is also one of the best places in Tanzania to see the endangered black rhino. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the crater walls and the unique ecosystem that supports thousands of animals.

Later, enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated area before ascending from the crater and beginning your transfer back to Arusha. Just like Serengeti in Tanzania, this park is located in the land of the Masai people, thus the name, and it is the northern portion of the Great Plains ecosystem in neighboring Tanzania called Serengeti.

Day 9

You will be served breakfast, and after that, your guide/driver will drive you to the pier from where you will get to the boat for a ride to Ngamba Island, where the Chimpanzee Sanctuary is located, which makes Chimpanzee tracking the biggest tourism activity on the island. You will arrive in time to feed the chimps. You will stand at the platform to watch, take photographs, and then explore the island, finding the monitor lizards, otters, and a variety of bird species.

You will have your lunch then return to the mainland in the afternoon. You visit UWEC (formerly the Zoo) to see animals like the rhino, the shoebill stork bird, the peacock, the python, and other animals, as well as reptiles and birds that you might not see when you visit other game parks and reserves in the country.

After an early breakfast, you will head to the Kibale National Park Visitor Centre for a briefing before setting off for chimpanzee trekking experience. Accompanied guide, you will venture into the tropical rainforest in search of one of the park's habituated chimpanzee communities. Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat as they feed, groom, play, and communicate with one another.

After the trek, return to your lodge for a scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The scenic drive takes you through the crater lakes region and the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains before arriving at Uganda's most popular savannah park. Upon arrival, check in, have lunch and relax. After breakfast, your guide will take you for a briefing by the park guides, and later go for mountain gorilla tracking. Your ranger will lead you through the thick tropical rainforest as you search for a family of habituated mountain gorillas. You will need to carry packed food as the exercise may take longer than you can expect, which means you will not have time to return to the lodge for lunch.

When you meet the gorillas, you will be given at least one hour to enjoy time with them while you are taking photographs but must not use a flash while you are taking photographs. After the gorilla tracking activity, you will then go back to your lodge for relaxation, lunch and spend the night at the lodge.
