Dar es Salaam to Nyerere National Park | Boat Safari

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel, airport, or home in Dar es Salaam and start your drive to Nyerere National Park. Along the way, you will pass through villages and countryside, giving you a chance to see local life.
When you arrive, you will check in at Selous Safari Lodge and enjoy your lunch. In the late afternoon, you will go for a boat safari on the Rufiji River. This is a special experience where you can see hippos, crocodiles, and sometimes elephants near the water. The river is very calm and beautiful, especially during sunset when the sky turns golden. After the boat safari, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Full-Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park

After breakfast, you will go for a full-day game drive in the park with your packed lunch. Nyerere National Park is very large and full of wildlife such as elephants, lions, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, and many birds. At lunchtime, you will stop in a safe place inside the park and enjoy your picnic lunch in nature. Eating in the wild, surrounded by nature and fresh air, is a very special and enjoyable part of the safari. After lunch, you will continue with your game drive before returning to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Morning walking Safari, Transfer to Mikumi National Park

Early in the morning, you will enjoy a cup of coffee or tea before heading out for a guided walking safari. This is a unique experience where you explore the bush on foot with an armed ranger and guide. Walking in nature allows you to see small details you may miss during a game drive, such as animal tracks, plants, and birds. It is also a peaceful and exciting way to feel closer to the wild while learning more about the environment.
After the walking safari, return to the lodge for a full breakfast. Then check out and begin your journey to Mikumi National Park. On the way, you will stop at Cate Hotel in Morogoro for lunch. After lunch, continue to Mikumi and check in at Mikumi Cottages. In the evening, you will go for a game drive, where you can see animals such as elephants, zebras, and wildebeest. After the drive, return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Morning Game Drive & Departure to Dar es Salaam

Start your day with a cup of coffee or tea, then go for a morning game drive in Mikumi National Park. This is another good chance to see animals while they are active in the morning. After the game drive, return for a full breakfast and then check out. You will start your drive back to Dar es Salaam with a game drive on the way out of the park. You will stop again at Cate Hotel Morogoro for lunch before continuing your journey. When you arrive in Dar es Salaam, you will be dropped off at your hotel, airport, or any place you prefer.
