Diani Beach to Salt Lick Safari Lodge

Early morning departure from Diani Beach or Mombasa to Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, arriving in time for lunch at Salt Lick Safari Lodge, a unique lodge built on stilts overlooking a busy waterhole where wildlife gathers throughout the day.

After lunch and a short rest, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the sanctuary. The area offers excellent chances to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, various antelopes, and diverse bird species within a compact and less crowded environment.

Return to the lodge before sunset for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by uninterrupted views of wildlife activity at the waterhole.

Salt Lick Safari Lodge to Diani Beach

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, when wildlife is most active and chances of spotting predators and grazing animals are high. After the drive, return to Salt Lick Safari Lodge for breakfast with views of the surrounding wilderness and waterhole.

After breakfast, check out and depart the lodge with an en-route game drive as you exit the sanctuary, offering a final opportunity to spot elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and other wildlife in their natural habitat.

Continue your journey back to Diani Beach or Mombasa, arriving in the afternoon, marking the end of your safari experience.
