Day 2-5
Exploring the Remote Plains of Kafue
Exploring the Remote Plains of Kafue
Travel west into Kafue National Park and Ntemwa Busanga Camp, a vast and little traversed wilderness where space and solitude define the experience. The Busanga ecosystem reveals wide grasslands, seasonal waterways, and shifting light that draws wildlife across open plains, with large herds of antelope, buffalo, and predators moving through the floodplains. Time here is spent moving through the landscape at a measured pace, observing detail and behaviour often unseen in more frequented regions, from lion prides resting in the grass to vast flocks of birds rising at dawn.
From camp, explore on early morning and late afternoon game drives across the floodplains, when wildlife activity is at its peak. Guided walking safaris offer a closer understanding of the ecosystem, while seasonal boating experiences allow you to drift through shallow channels when the waters rise. Evenings are spent around camp, listening to the sounds of the plains.

Day 6-9
Following the Zambezi's Quieter Reaches
Following the Zambezi's Quieter Reaches
Continue south to Kutali Camp in the Lower Zambezi, where the wilderness becomes more intimate and textured. Set within riverine woodland and overlooking sandbanks framed by escarpment backdrops, the camp offers a rich setting for close wildlife encounters and varied exploration. The river provides both orientation and contrast after the open plains of Kafue, shaping each day with movement and light.
From camp, experience guided canoe safaris drifting quietly along channels lined with elephants, hippos, and birdlife, as well as walking safaris that reveal tracks, plants, and smaller details of the ecosystem. Boat safaris explore deeper stretches of the river, while game drives follow elephant paths through woodland and open clearings. Evenings are spent in camp listening to the river, as the Lower Zambezi reveals its quieter, more intimate rhythm over four nights of immersive exploration.
