Exploring the Remote Plains of Kafue National Park
Fly into Kafue National Park and continue to Ntemwa Busanga for four nights on the remote Busanga Plains. The flight reveals the scale of Zambia before you reach one of its most distinctive safari landscapes, where vast grasslands stretch towards the horizon.
Days are shaped around morning and afternoon game drives, with night drives and guided walks offering different perspectives on the wilderness. Busanga is known for its predators and seasonal concentrations of wildlife, but just as important is the sense of space. Visitor numbers are low and sightings often unfold without the vehicle traffic of better known safari areas.
Four nights gives you time to settle into the rhythm of Kafue. Follow fresh tracks, linger when wildlife is active and explore as conditions dictate. This is a quieter, more remote safari, where the landscape is as much a part of the experience as the wildlife within it.

Leave the Busanga Plains by light aircraft and fly across Zambia towards the Lower Zambezi, where four nights at Kutali bring a completely different character to the safari. Set beside one of Africa’s great rivers, the landscape shifts from Kafue’s open plains to riverine woodland, channels and the broad waters of the Zambezi.
Explore by vehicle and on foot, or take to the river by boat and canoe. Elephants are a defining presence along the Zambezi, while hippo, buffalo, predators and prolific birdlife are all part of this rich ecosystem. Canoeing offers a particularly quiet perspective, moving with the river while wildlife comes to the banks to drink.
Four nights allows activities to be chosen around conditions and wildlife rather than a fixed programme. After the remoteness of Busanga, the Lower Zambezi adds water, walking and a different pace, creating two contrasting safari experiences without rushing between multiple parks.
