After breakfast, you will transfer in your jeep to Amboseli National Park, heading north through the dramatic Great Rift Valley toward Lake Nakuru National Park. At 3:30 pm, your afternoon game drive begins, and Lake Nakuru delivers immediately. Kenya’s celebrated rhino sanctuary is home to both black and white rhinos—one of the best places on the continent to spot these rare giants. Your guide tracks movement across the Mara’s key zones: the Mara River, Musiara Swamp, and the open Mara Triangle. Stop mid-morning for a bush breakfast in the heart of the park, then continue deeper into the reserve as the action unfolds. At midday, your guide will set up a picnic lunch in the wild. This is a proper meal served in the open bush with nothing but the Mara around you.
