Day 1

Your journey begins in Moshi after breakfast with a detailed briefing from your professional mountain guide. You will drive to Londorossi Gate in Mount Kilimanjaro National Park, where registration formalities will be done. After receiving your packed lunch, continue by your vehicle along a forest track to the trailhead.
The trek starts with a gentle hike through lush rainforest, where you may spot colobus monkeys along the way. After about three hours, you will reach Mti Mkubwa Camp. Upon arrival, the support team will have your tents prepared, along with drinking and washing water. Dinner will be served, be equipped as temperatures may drop to freezing overnight.

Day 2
Mti Mkubwa Camp – Shira 2 Camp

After breakfast, continue trekking out of the rainforest into the heather and moorland zone. The trail crosses several streams and opens onto a scenic plateau leading to Shira 2 Camp.
From camp, enjoy impressive views of the Western Breach and surrounding glaciers. As with the previous day, the crew will prepare camp in advance, and a warm meal will be served in the evening. Expect colder temperatures at this higher elevation.

Day 3
Shira – Lava Tower – Barranco Camp

Today’s trek takes you into a more rugged, semi-desert landscape. After several hours of hiking, you will reach the Lava Tower, where lunch is served. Depending on conditions, there may be an opportunity to climb the tower.
This stage is important for acclimatization, and some trekkers may begin to feel mild altitude effects. After lunch, descend to Barranco Camp, which helps the body adjust to the altitude. The camp is set in a scenic valley beneath the Barranco Wall, offering spectacular sunset views. You will be offered washing and drinking water as well as dinner prepared by our excellent chef.

Day 4
Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp
Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp
This is a shorter day designed to aid acclimatization. After breakfast, you will climb the Barranco Wall. While it may appear challenging, most trekkers find it manageable and rewarding.
At the top, enjoy views above the clouds before continuing through rolling terrain to Karanga Camp. Spend the afternoon relaxing and preparing for the days ahead.

Day 5
Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp

After breakfast, continue your ascent toward Barafu Camp, the base for your summit attempt. Along the way, you will join the Mweka Route, which will be used for descent.
Barafu Camp is located on an exposed ridge with no natural water sources, making it the final water point for the team. After an early dinner, your guide will brief you on the summit attempt. Rest early in preparation for the night climb.

Day 6
Summit Attempt – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp
Summit Attempt – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Camp
Under a blanket of stars, begin your ascent to the summit. This is the most challenging yet most rewarding part of the trek taking you across rocky terrain toward Stella Point on the crater rim.
From there, continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Reaching the summit is a remarkable once-in-a-lifetime achievement and a highlight of the journey. After a short stay for photos, begin your descent back to Barafu Camp for rest, then continue down to Mweka Camp.

Day 7
Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Arusha
Mweka Camp – Mweka Gate – Arusha
After breakfast, the team celebrates the successful climb with singing and dancing. You will then descend through the forest to Mweka Gate.
At the gate, climbers receive official summit certificates—awarded based on the highest point reached. Afterward, continue to Mweka Village for lunch before returning to Moshi, marking the end of your adventure.
