Today you travel to Ethiopia’s remote southwest, where diverse ethnic groups maintain unique cultural traditions.
Take a scenic domestic flight from Addis Ababa to Jinka, the gateway to the Omo Valley.
Afternoon Excursion:
Drive into Key Afer to visit the Mursi people, one of Ethiopia’s most iconic tribes.
The Mursi are well known for the tradition of lip plates worn by women, intricate body painting, and their strong pastoralist culture. This visit offers a rare opportunity to observe and respectfully interact with a community that has preserved its identity for centuries.
N:B:- The Mursi peoples where you are going to see at Key afer are those who migrated from their village and temporally living and supported by the Government. It’s due to the conflict and disagreements between themselves.
Explore a vibrant local market in Jinka or nearby villages, where different tribes gather to trade goods, socialize, and maintain cultural exchange traditions.

Explore a village of the Ari people, the largest ethnic group in the region.

Return to Addis Ababa: Transfer to the airport and fly back to Addis Ababa.
