After an early breakfast, you head to Tarangire National Park, famous for having the highest concentration of elephants in the country. The landscape is dotted with ancient, giant baobab trees that dwarf the wildlife grazing beneath them. You will spend the day tracking herds along the Tarangire River, which serves as a vital water source, before heading to a nearby public campsite for your first night under the stars.

The journey continues to Lake Manyara National Park, a relatively small but incredibly diverse park located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. This park is also the best place to spot tree-climbing lions resting in the branches of acacia trees.

The drive itself is a long-distance game drive, as you’ll likely spot gazelles, zebras, and giraffes along the way. You will arrive at the Seronera region the heart of the park in time for an afternoon game drive before setting up camp at a designated public site where the sounds of the wilderness accompany your dinner.
