Masai Mara National Reserve
Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lions, abundant resident wildlife, and is one of the few places where it is possible to see the Big Five on a single morning game drive. Cheetahs are often remarkably relaxed and may seek shade under vehicles, with some even climbing onto roofs for a better view of potential prey.
For bird enthusiasts, nearly 500 species have been recorded, including 16 species of eagles, numerous hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, and 4 species of bustards, including the Kori bustard—the world’s heaviest flying bird—alongside 9 species of sunbirds.
