Drive from Arusha City to Tarangire National Park

Arusha City to Tarangire National Park: 2 Hours.

Program of the day: After breakfast at 08:00, you will depart for Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. The journey takes approximately 2 hours.

If you’ve never been to Tarangire (and even if you have), you’re in for a real treat. Tarangire National Park is a land of giants, home to ancient baobab trees scattered across the landscape and large herds of elephants roaming freely. But that’s only the beginning. You may encounter lions resting under acacia trees, while elusive leopards and swift cheetahs are also part of this rich ecosystem. The park is alive with wildlife, including wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes, and zebras.

Lunch will be served inside the park.

After the afternoon game drive, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today, we recommend waking up early for breakfast and departing at 06:30 for a magical game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater.

Why an early game drive? Wildlife is most active in the morning, and the views are stunning. If you're lucky, you’ll catch a beautiful sunrise from the crater rim.

You’ll spend the day exploring this incredible place. After lunch, we’ll continue the game drive until late afternoon before returning to your accommodation for dinner and overnight rest.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the world's largest uninterrupted caldera and one of Africa's natural wonders. About 30,000 large mammals are resident all year round, such as buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos, and a wide variety of birds such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. Be ready to see many animals here within a short time.
