Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve
An early morning drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, one of the few remaining places on Earth where wildlife still thrives in relatively undisturbed numbers once common across Africa’s plains and forests. Masai Mara National Reserve
Masai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day game drive with a packed lunch. The reserve is well known for its black-maned lions, abundant resident wildlife, and is one of the few places where it is possible to see the Big Five during a morning game drive. Cheetahs here are often very relaxed and may shelter under vehicles, with some even climbing onto roofs for a better view of potential prey.
For bird enthusiasts, nearly 500 species have been recorded, including 16 species of eagles, numerous hawks and falcons, 6 species of vultures, 8 species of storks, and 4 species of bustards, including the Kori bustard—the world’s heaviest flying bird—along with 9 species of sunbirds.
