Depart from Addis Ababa in the morning and drive to Debre Libanos, one of Ethiopia’s most important religious and scenic destinations. Visit the historic Debre Libanos Monastery and learn about its significance in Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity. Continue to the nearby Portuguese Bridge area to enjoy breathtaking views of the Jemma River Gorge. If lucky, spot endemic gelada baboons along the cliffs. After exploring the natural and cultural highlights of the area, return to Addis Ababa in the afternoon.
