Journey to Amboseli - Elephant Encounters beneath the Majesty of Snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro

Your adventure begins with a personalized pickup from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. We’ll depart for Amboseli National Park, a scenic 4-hour drive through the authentic Maasai countryside. A photostop should Mount Kilimanjaro be visible is included, where you get to view the mighty Kilimanjaro in its glory!
Upon arrival, check into your lodge or camp and enjoy a delicious lunch as you soak in the surroundings. In the afternoon, set out for your first game drive. Known as the 'Land of Giants,' Amboseli is famous for its massive elephant bulls and family herds.
Against the backdrop of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, you'll explore the Observation Hill for panoramic views and traverse the swamps where hippos and buffaloes wallow.
Keep your eyes peeled for lions, cheetahs, and diverse birdlife. As the sun sets behind the snow-capped peak, return to your accommodation for a relaxing evening and dinner under the stars.

Sunrise Game Drive, Optional Maasai Village Visit & Majestic Views Before Returning to Nairobi

Rise early for a breathtaking sunrise game drive, the best time to see Mount Kilimanjaro clear of clouds and predators on the prowl.
This early session offers your best chance to spot lions or leopards before the heat of the day sets in. Witness the park come to life as elephants head toward the marshes for their morning bath.
Optionally visit a Maasai Village where you get to know more about the local Maasai community's way of life, including why they are the only community to have its culture retained up to date!
After the game drive, return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast before checking out. Enjoy one last 'en-route' game viewing as we exit the park gates. We will then begin the scenic drive back to Nairobi, arriving in the late afternoon. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of an unforgettable Amboseli wilderness experience.
