Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or pick-up from your preferred location within Nairobi, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide for a safari briefing before departing for the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. The journey takes you through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley escarpment with scenic viewpoints ideal for photography and relaxation. As you proceed, the landscape gradually opens into vast savannah plains dotted with acacia trees, setting the tone for the adventure ahead. You will arrive at your lodge or camp in time for check-in and lunch, followed by some relaxation as you soak in the surrounding wilderness. Later in the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the reserve, where you may encounter elephants, lions, giraffes, and other wildlife. The reserve is home to the famous Big Five and offers excellent chances of spotting predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards in action. You may also visit the Mara River, known for its dramatic wildebeest migration crossings during the migration season, as well as hippos and crocodiles that inhabit its waters year-round. The day allows for immersive wildlife viewing, photography, and learning about the ecosystem from your guide. Ol Pejeta Conservancy is renowned for its conservation efforts and is home to endangered species including black rhinos and the last two northern white rhinos.
