Nairobi – Masai Mara | Group Departure & Afternoon Game Drive

Your journey begins in Nairobi, where you will join your group and depart in a shared 4x4 pop-up roof safari jeep heading towards the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, you will enjoy scenic views of the Great Rift Valley and make a stop for lunch en route.

Upon arrival at the Masai Mara, you will proceed directly for an afternoon guided game drive. This first safari experience offers excellent opportunities to spot wildlife such as lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and other plains game in their natural habitat.

Later in the evening, you will drive to your midrange lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight stay, relaxing after an exciting introduction to the Masai Mara wilderness.

Full-Day Masai Mara Safari – Game Drive & Optional Balloon Experience

For early risers, the day begins with an optional hot air balloon safari at extra cost, offering a spectacular sunrise flight over the vast plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve. After landing, you will enjoy a champagne bush breakfast and join other safari guests directly in the park for a full-day game drive, continuing the experience without returning to the lodge.

For guests not taking the balloon safari, after breakfast at the lodge you will be picked up in a shared 4x4 pop-up roof jeep and begin your full-day game drive across different sections of the reserve.

A packed lunch box will be provided and enjoyed inside the park, allowing you to dine in the wild while continuing to explore prime wildlife areas in search of the Big Five and seasonal migration herds.

In the late afternoon, continue game viewing as you make your way back toward your lodge. Arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation.

Masai Mara – Breakfast, Maasai Village Visit & Return to Nairobi

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at your midrange lodge or tented camp in the heart of the Masai Mara National Reserve. After breakfast, check out and prepare for your journey back to Nairobi.

En route, you will enjoy a Maasai village visit, where you will experience the rich culture and traditions of the Maasai people. This includes a guided tour of a traditional homestead, cultural storytelling, and vibrant dances, offering a meaningful insight into their way of life.

After the visit, continue your drive through the scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley, with optional stopovers for photography and short breaks. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon or evening, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or airport, marking the end of your safari experience with Lithanile Africa Safaris.
