Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

You will depart from Arusha as you will be picked up from your accommodation and travel to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Upon arrival, you will begin your game drive, exploring the park’s varied landscapes and searching for wildlife such as lions, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species. Around midday, you will enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site within the park. After lunch, continue with a short afternoon game drive before exiting the park. You will then be transferred to your accommodation in Mto wa Mbu (area), where you can relax and enjoy dinner at the lodge.

After breakfast, depart from Mto wa Mbu (area) and begin your journey toward Serengeti National Park. The drive takes you through the scenic Ngorongoro highlands, offering breathtaking views along the way. You will arrive in the Serengeti in the afternoon and begin a game drive as you make your way toward your lodge or camp. Keep an eye out for wildlife such as wildebeest, zebras, and predators roaming the plains. Lunch will be served either en route or upon arrival. After breakfast at your accommodation in Mto wa Mbu, you will be picked up by your guide and driven to Lake Eyasi, a remote and culturally rich area located in Ngorongoro Highlands. Upon arrival, you will visit the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in East Africa, where you may have the opportunity to learn about their traditional hunting techniques, survival skills, and daily lifestyle. You will also visit the Datoga (Dagota) community, known for their blacksmithing craftsmanship and pastoral traditions, offering a deeper understanding of their culture and heritage. A picnic or local-style lunch will be provided during your visit. After this immersive cultural experience, you will begin your journey back to Arusha, where you will either be dropped off at your hotel for relaxation or transferred to the airport for your departure, marking the end of your memorable safari.
