Pick-up and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Kampala or Entebbe, heading southwest towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes you through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, with rolling hills, lush plantations, and traditional villages.
You will have a lunch stop in Mbarara, a town famous for its rich Ankole culture and long-horned cattle. The drive continues through the stunning Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa" due to its breathtaking scenery.
Arrive at Bwindi in the late afternoon and check in at your lodge. Spend the evening relaxing and preparing for the exciting gorilla trek the next day.

Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Community Visit

Wake up early for a hearty breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. The rangers will explain gorilla trekking guidelines, safety precautions, and what to expect during the experience.
You’ll then embark on a guided trek into the dense rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek can last anywhere from 1 to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas.
When you finally find the gorillas, you will be allowed one unforgettable hour to observe and photograph them. Witness their playful interactions, gentle nature, and striking human-like expressions—an experience that will leave you speechless!
In the evening, take a short visit to the Batwa Pygmy community, the indigenous people of the Bwindi forest. Learn about their traditional hunting techniques, music, and storytelling, and how they once coexisted with the gorillas in the forest. Return to the lodge for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon or evening, depending on your flight schedule, marking the end of your 3-day gorilla trekking adventure.
