Arrival in Addis Ababa – Fly to Jinka – Drive to Turmi

Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred for a short morning city tour. Visit highlights such as the National Museum of Ethiopia, where you can see the famous fossil Lucy, and enjoy a brief overview of the capital.

Later, transfer to the airport for your midday flight to Jinka. Upon arrival, meet your local team and begin the scenic drive through the Omo Valley to Turmi, home of the Hamer people.

Arrive in Turmi and check in at Paradise Lodge Turmi.

Omo Valley Tribal Experience – Karo, Nyangatom & Hamer

After breakfast, start a full day of cultural exploration:

Visit the Karo Tribe, known for their elaborate body painting and unique artistic expressions along the Omo River.
Continue to the Nyangatom Tribe, recognized for their distinctive traditions and semi-nomadic lifestyle.
Return to Turmi to experience the Hamer Tribe, famous for their hairstyles, beadwork, and cultural ceremonies such as the bull-jumping ritual.

This day offers exceptional opportunities for cultural interaction and photography.

Visit Dassanech Tribe – Fly back to Addis Ababa

Early in the morning, drive toward the lower Omo Valley to visit the Dassanech Tribe, who live along the Omo River. Known for their resilience, they have adapted to one of the region’s most challenging environments, offering a unique cultural experience.

After the visit, transfer back via Jinka for your return flight to Addis Ababa.

Upon arrival, enjoy optional city sightseeing or relax before a special farewell dinner in the evening. Later, transfer to the airport for your international departure.
