Pick up from kigali to musanze - Boat cruise on twin lakes

You will be picked up by English speaking driver by 09:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Drive from Kigali to Musanze enjoying the winding roads and mountain views as you head to the northern city called Musanze.

12:30 PM: Stop for a meal in town before heading towards the lake

01:00 PM – 03:30 PM: Boat Cruise on Lake Ruhondo
The afternoon light is ideal for birdwatching and local boatman can take you to various islands and points known for heron and kingfisher sightings.

04:00 PM: Check-in at Isange Paradise Resort
Relax in the gardens and prepare your gear for the following day's trek.

Gorilla trekking mgahinga national park and transfer back to kigali

05:30 AM – 06:30 AM: Transfer to the Cyanika Border
An early start is necessary to clear customs and reach the park headquarters on time.
07:00 AM – 07:30 AM: Drive to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park
The final stretch involves a drive through the base of the volcanoes.

08:00 AM – 08:30 AM: Briefing and Orientation
Park rangers will provide safety guidelines and information about the Nyakagezi gorilla family.

08:30 AM – 01:00 PM: Gorilla Trekking
The duration of the trek varies depending on the location of the gorillas, but expect to be in the forest for several hours, including your guaranteed hour of observation.

01:30 PM – 02:30 PM: Post-Trek Lunch
A quick meal nearby to refuel after the hike.

03:00 PM – 06:00 PM: Return Drive to Kigali
Cross back through the border and arrive back in the capital by early evening.
