After your final morning in the Masai Mara, you’ll transfer to the airstrip for a unique cross-border journey into Tanzania. This seamless transition includes a short flight to the border, followed by immigration processing and a ground transfer, before continuing by bush flight into the world-famous Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival, the landscape opens into vast, rolling plains that stretch as far as the eye can see.
Spend the next two days exploring the Serengeti through guided game drives, where the scale and beauty of the ecosystem truly come to life. Known for its wide-open spaces and abundant wildlife, the Serengeti offers incredible opportunities to see large herds of wildebeest and zebra, along with the predators that follow them. Depart the Serengeti after breakfast and begin your scenic journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the landscape gradually transforms from open plains to lush highlands. Along the way, you may pass Maasai villages and witness daily life in this culturally rich region. As you approach the crater rim, anticipation builds for one of Africa’s most extraordinary natural wonders.
Descend 2,000 feet into the Ngorongoro Crater, a breathtaking volcanic caldera often referred to as “Africa’s Garden of Eden.” This natural enclosure is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, offering one of the best chances to spot the Big Five in a single day. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor surrounded by grazing zebras, wildebeest, and perhaps even nearby elephants. Your afternoon game drive continues across this wildlife-rich landscape, where lions roam, hippos gather in freshwater pools, and the rare black rhino may make an appearance. Return for dinner at your Camp.
