We depart from Zanzibar before dawn with an airport transfer timed for the earliest available flight to the Arusha region, allowing morning arrival and a swift ground transfer directly to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, a full-day game drive fills the daylight hours. Expect a mix of open-country viewing and shaded riverine habitats, with guides searching for elephant herds that often concentrate near seasonal pans, prides of lions, and smaller sightings such as mongooses and diverse bird species. Lunch is arranged either as a scenic picnic inside the park or at a local lodge to maximise time for afternoon game viewing. Later in the day, the group leaves Tarangire and transfers to the chosen accommodation.

Ngorongoro to Arusha to Zanzibar
Ngorongoro to Arusha to Zanzibar
Day two starts very early with breakfast and a drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where permits and park formalities are completed at the rim before descent into the crater. The morning and early afternoon are dedicated to a crater floor circuit with focused wildlife watching, a picnic at a designated site and time set aside for photography and short guided walks where permitted. In the mid- to late afternoon, you will ascend the crater rim for a direct transfer to Arusha or to the regional airport for a late flight back to Zanzibar.
