Depature From Nairobi to Masai Mara

Welcome to Kenya Journey Africa Wild. A representative will pick you up, followed by a safari briefing and introduction to your tour/driver guide.
Start your scenic drive to the Masai Mara (approximately 5-6 hours passing through the Great Rift Valley and beautiful landscapes. Arrive in the Masai Mara and check into your lodge or camp. After freshening up, enjoy a relaxing lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will head out for your first game drive in the reserve. This afternoon safari offers the chance to spot wildlife like lions, zebras, and giraffes, while the evening light provides perfect photographic opportunities. Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Masai Mara Full Game Drive

A full day unfolds in the heart of the Maasai Mara, where the wilderness stretches endlessly in every direction. Game drives reveal herds of wildebeest and zebra moving across golden grasslands, elephants roaming in family groups, and predators resting in the shade of acacia trees. A picnic lunch in the open wilderness offers a peaceful pause, surrounded by sweeping views and the sounds of nature. The day continues with more exploration, ending as the savannah glows warm and amber beneath a dramatic sunset. As night approaches, you return to camp for dinner, immersed in the symphony of crickets and distant lion calls.

Masai Mara Continued Exploration

Another day in the Masai Mara brings new opportunities for remarkable wildlife experiences. Morning and afternoon game drives take you across different parts of the reserve, each offering unique landscapes and animal sightings. You may encounter elusive leopards lounging in tree branches, observe elephants interacting within their family groups, or watch hyenas and jackals roaming the plains. Birdlife is also abundant, with colorful species perched along riverbanks or soaring overhead. Between drives, you can relax at your camp and soak in the peaceful atmosphere of the African bush. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Masai Mara National Reserve to Nairobi

Have breakfast at your lodge and then leave on a relaxed drive for Nairobi. On this day, you may visit the Maasai Village. Afterwards, proceed to Nairobi with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint. A series of mountains and active volcanoes border the Rift. It is a site of faults and earthquakes. Arrive in Nairobi, where you will be dropped off at the hotel or the airport for your onward travel. The tour manager will be on hand to assist in case you need anything.
