1-Day Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi

Your Ibyiza Safaris guide will pick you up from your address in Kisoro town at 5:00am, setting off through the dramatic hills of Kisoro on winding dirt roads as dawn breaks over the landscape. After approximately one and a half hours, arrive at the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters at Rushaga, just in time for the detailed pre-trek briefing covering the dos and don'ts of gorilla trekking, ensuring your safety and the protection of the gorillas and their habitat.

Led by an experienced guide and ranger, venture into Bwindi's dense, ancient forest, winding through lush vegetation and listening to the sounds of the wilderness close in around you, until that breathtaking, humbling moment when the mountain gorillas appear before you. Spend a magical hour in their presence, observing their interactions, expressions and gentle power at close range, a life-changing encounter no photograph can fully capture. Begin the trek back before making the scenic drive back to Kisoro town.
