Transfer to Lake Mburo NP & Cycling Safari

Your Ibyiza Safaris guide will meet you at Entebbe International Airport or your Entebbe hotel before beginning the long but rewarding journey southwest toward Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

Along the way, make a stop at Lukaya Road Market for its famous roast meats, including succulent chicken, goat meat, and sweet roasted plantains known as "Gonja."

Continue south and pause at the famous Equator crossing near Masaka for photos, a quick science demonstration and some souvenir shopping.

Arrive at the park in the late afternoon and check into your lodge before embarking on a thrilling sunset cycling safari through the park's open savannah. Pedal through zebra dotted plains and acacia woodland as the golden light of the African sunset washes over the landscape, an unforgettable way to arrive in the wild.

Morning Game Drive, Boat Safari & Return to Entebbe

After an early breakfast, head out for a sunrise game drive across Lake Mburo's open plains.
What makes Lake Mburo unique is the flexibility it offers, at specific safe points along the route, you are encouraged to step out of the vehicle and walk closer to the towering giraffes, appreciating the true scale of these gentle giants in their natural habitat in a way that no game vehicle can fully capture.

Return to the lodge for a well-deserved lunch before boarding a boat for a relaxing afternoon cruise on Lake Mburo. Keep your camera ready for hippos wallowing in the shallows, crocodiles basking on the banks and a diversity of birdlife, listen out for the iconic cry of the African Fish Eagle as it hunts along the shoreline.

As the afternoon light begins to fade, begin the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe, carrying the memories of an unforgettable 48 hours in the wild.
