Pick Up from Kigali to Akagera National Park

05:00 AM – 07:30 AM: Departure from Kigali and transit to Akagera National Park.
08:00 AM – 01:00 PM: You'll have a morning game drive through the savannah to spot lions, rhinos, elephants, giraffes, and several antelopes.

You will have a picnic lunch overlooking Lake Ihema.

You will scenic cross-country drive from the eastern plains to the northern highlands of Musanze.

Late evening, you will check-in and overnight stay at Isange Paradise Resort in Musanze.

Gorilla Trekking and Visit Gorilla Guardians Village

06:30 AM – 07:00 AM: You will transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters (Kinigi).

07:00 AM – 08:00 AM: Registration, briefing, and traditional coffee with Intore dance performances.

08:00 AM – 01:00 PM: Gorilla Trekking. The duration varies, but includes exactly one hour with the mountain gorillas after spotting them.

After the trek, you will have your lunch near the local center. You will visit the Gorilla Guardians (the former Iby’iwacu Cultural Village). You will engage in traditional archery, local medicine demonstrations, and royal marriage ceremonies.

You return to your lodge for dinner and rest for the second night.

Golden Monkey and Transfer back to Kigali

After an early breakfast, our driver will drive you to Volcanoes National Park headquarters in Kinigi.

07:00 AM – 08:00 AM: Morning briefing for the golden monkey trek at Volcanoes National Park.

08:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Golden Monkey Trekking. Explore the bamboo zone to observe these active, orange-gold primates, and spotting them, you will have one hour watching them

After the golden monkey trekking, you will drive back to your lodge and have your lunch. Afterward, you will have a scenic drive back to Kigali through the terraced hills.
