Heading to Lake Manyara
Heading to Lake Manyara
Departure from Arusha at 8:00 AM – Drive (2 hours) to Manyara. Upon entering the park, you will step into the dim light of a lush rainforest where towering fig trees and unusual sausage trees are home to baboons and playful, unafraid blue monkeys. You will then cross acacia woodlands inhabited by antelopes (dik-diks and impalas), before reaching more open areas where elephants, zebras, giraffes, and buffaloes roam.
In the afternoon, you will explore the lakeshore, where hippos graze among a rich variety of birdlife including sandpipers, herons, and flamingos.

Day 2
Descent into the Ngorongoro Crater
Descent into the Ngorongoro Crater
Today, you will descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater in search of the “Big Five” (buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard, and rhinoceros). It is one of the few places in Africa where you may have the chance to see them all in a single day. You will also encounter wildebeest, kob, eland, hartebeest, and many bird species such as the secretary bird, Kori bustard, and crowned crane.
You will undoubtedly be struck by the beauty of the landscape, often described as a true “Garden of Eden.” This vast caldera provides water, grass, and shade for both herbivores and predators, explaining the remarkable concentration of wildlife (between 25,000 and 30,000 animals).

Day 3
On the Way to the Park Tarangire
On the Way to the Park Tarangire
Departure at 7:30 AM – Drive (1.5 hours) to Tarangire National Park. The park takes its name from the river that runs through it, a vital water source that attracts a wide variety of wildlife, including rare species such as oryx, gerenuk (giraffe gazelle), and eland.
The landscape is made up of rolling hills covered with acacia woodlands and dotted with massive baobab trees—mythical and striking with their pale grey trunks. A herd of elephants set against a backdrop of baobabs is the unforgettable image you will take away from your visit to Tarangire.
Return to Arusha in the late afternoon (approx. 2-hour drive).
