Day 1

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Your adventure begins with breakfast at your place of residence. Afterwards, meet your professional safari driver-guide for a welcome and comprehensive briefing on the Safari. You will receive essential information about the journey ahead, wildlife expectations, safety protocols, and lodge arrangements. Depart Kampala and drive southwest along Masaka road. The journey features several well-timed stopovers, including a highlight at the Uganda Equator crossing in Kayabwe. Here, you will stand with one foot in the northern hemisphere and the other in the southern hemisphere – a truly surreal geographic moment. A local guide will demonstrate a simple but fascinating water experiment. Capture memorable photographs at the equator monument, browse nearby craft stalls for handcrafted souvenirs. After this enriching stop, continue the drive through rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional homesteads. Arrive at your chosen eco-lodge, settle into your room, enjoy dinner as the sun sets.

See yawning hippos, gaping Nile crocodiles, African elephants playing in water, and warthogs on shore. Birdlife includes saddle-billed storks, fish eagles, pelicans, and cormorants.
