04:30 AM – 07:00 AM, Our driver will pick you up at your hotel in kigali and drive you very early from Kigali to Musanze.

07:00 AM – 08:00 AM: Briefing and registration at volcanoes national park headquarters kinigi.

08:00 AM – 01:00 PM: Mountain Gorilla Trekking. Hike into Volcanoes National Park to spend one hour with a habituated gorilla family.

After trekking you will have a stop in a local cafe in kinigi for lunch hour and relax for minutes then after you will visit Iby’iwacu Cultural Village ( the former gorilla guardians). Experience traditional Rwandan life, from medicine making to the famous Intore dance.

05:30 PM: Check-in and overnight stay at isange paradise resort in Musanze.

Golden monkey trekking & Transfer to Gisenyi -shores of lake kivu

07:00 AM – 08:00 AM: after your early breakfast our driver will drive you the park headquarters Kinigi for morning briefing for the golden monkey trek.

08:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Golden Monkey Trekking. Observe these playful, orange-coated primates in the bamboo forests.
you will have an hour observing them playing and doing their every day activities. After the trek you will go back at your lodge and have lunch the have a scenic drive to Gisenyi -Rubavu, where the volcanic mountains meet the shores of Lake Kivu.

03:30 PM – 05:30 PM: Afternoon relaxation or an optional visit to the Gisenyi Hot Springs.

06:00 PM: Dinner at a lakeside restaurant and overnight stay at Paradise Malahide hotel.

Gisenyi Tour-boat cruises and transfer back to Kigali

09:00 AM – 11:30 AM: Lake Kivu Boat Cruise exploring monkey island and enjoy the views of the surrounding hills and the distant Nyiragongo volcano.

11:30 AM – 01:00 PM: Guided city tour of Gisenyi including a visit to the DRC-Rwanda border (Grande Barrière) and the local fish market. Final lakeside lunch featuring fresh Sambaza (local small fish).

02:30 PM – 06:00 PM: Return drive to Kigali, arriving in the early evening for drop-off.
