Nairobi to Amboseli + Afternoon Sunset Game Drive

Your safari begins with an 8:00 AM pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, followed by a scenic 4-hour drive to Amboseli National Park.

Upon arrival in Amboseli shortly after noon, you will check in to your camp and enjoy a freshly prepared hot lunch, followed by time to relax and unwind before your afternoon activities.

At 2:30 PM, depart for an exciting afternoon sunset game drive across the park’s vast plains. Amboseli is world-renowned for its large elephant population and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is home to over 1,600 elephants from 56 known family groups, making it one of the best places in Africa to observe these magnificent animals in their natural habitat.

After the game drive, return to your lodge/camp to freshen up before enjoying a delicious dinner. Overnight stay at your camp in Amboseli.

Begin your day with an early breakfast at the camp before departing at 6:30 AM for a sunrise full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Spend the day exploring the park’s diverse landscapes, including open plains, swamps, and acacia woodlands, while searching for elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and a wide variety of birdlife. A picnic lunch will be served at one of the park’s scenic viewpoints, allowing you to enjoy the wilderness surroundings during your safari experience.

After a rewarding day of wildlife viewing and exploration, return to the camp in the late afternoon to relax, enjoy dinner, and spend the night at your lodge/camp in Amboseli.

Arrive at Lake Naivasha in the afternoon in time for lunch before heading out for an optional boat ride on the lake, where you may spot hippos and a variety of bird species along the shores.

Following the boat excursion, an optional guided walking safari at the nearby animal sanctuary, offering a unique opportunity to walk among freely roaming wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and other herbivores in a peaceful natural setting.

Later in the afternoon, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park for check-in at your hotel.

After breakfast, you will drive to Masai Mara through Lake Nakuru National Park for a morning game drive. This is the best park for spotting flamingos. We also have other special animals like rhinos and giraffes.

At 5:00PM, you will be picked up by the Maasai warriors to visit the remaining famous Maasai villages which is optional. Later, you'll return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.
