Arusha to Ndutu (Southern Serengeti)

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive toward the Ndutu region, located in the southern part of the Serengeti Ecosystem and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive in time for lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. During calving season, Ndutu comes alive with thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles gathering on the short grass plains to give birth, attracting numerous predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Dinner and overnight at camp.

Full Day Game Drive in Ndutu

Enjoy a full day exploring the wildlife-rich Ndutu plains. Witness the spectacular wildebeest migration during calving season, where newborn calves can often be seen taking their first steps while predators closely follow the herds. The area also offers excellent opportunities to spot elephants, giraffes, jackals, leopards, and a wide variety of birds. Picnic lunch will be served in the bush, allowing you to maximize your game-viewing experience. Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Ndutu – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu

After breakfast, depart Ndutu and head to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Descend into the crater, home to one of Africa’s densest wildlife populations, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, flamingos, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool before ascending the crater and driving to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. The park is famous for its giant baobab trees, large elephant herds, and diverse wildlife including giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, lions, and numerous bird species. Enjoy lunch before continuing your journey back to Arusha, where your safari ends.
