Arrival in Xaxaba & First Delta Introduction
Guests will be picked up from Maun Airport by our guide Fred, who will assist with your luggage and escort you to the transfer vehicle. You arrive at the edge of the Okavango and transfer into the wilderness of Xaxaba, where the landscape immediately shifts into a water-rich system of reed beds, channels, and island forests.
Camp accommodation is a spacious mid-range canvas tent (larger than 3x3m), each with beds, a private veranda, and an en-suite bathroom with toilet, shower, and sink. Our team takes care of all camp duties, ensuring a comfortable and relaxed stay in this remote Delta environment.
You'll settle into camp and enjoy a light lunch before heading out for your first afternoon activity, a gentle motorized boat safari through winding channels lined with papyrus and water lilies, offering a soft introduction to the Delta’s waterways.

Day 2
Mokoro Exploration of Hidden Channels
Mokoro Exploration of Hidden Channels
The day begins early with a light breakfast at camp before setting out on a traditional mokoro excursion. Gliding silently through the narrow, glassy channels of the Okavango Delta, your poler expertly navigates a maze of reed-lined waterways where motorized boats cannot reach. This is a truly intimate way to experience the Delta.
After the morning excursion, return to camp for rest and a relaxed lunch during the heat of the day. The stillness of the afternoon offers time to unwind, enjoy the surroundings, or simply take in the peaceful rhythm of the wilderness.
Later in the afternoon, guests head out for a combination of fishing and mokoro exploration. Casting lines into the Delta’s channels offers a chance to connect with the ecosystem in a different way, while short mokoro journeys reveal deeper lagoons and hidden waterways.
As evening falls, return to camp for dinner under the stars, surrounded by the sounds of the Delta and the gentle atmosphere of the wild.
