Kigali City Tour and Transfer to Musanze

Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or Kigali International Airport in the morning. The tour begins with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, one of Rwanda’s most important historical sites, offering a deeper understanding of the country’s past and its journey toward reconciliation and renewal.

After the visit, continue north toward Musanze with beautiful views of Rwanda’s rolling hills and countryside landscapes along the way.

Before hotel check-in, you may choose to enjoy additional activities depending on your interests and arrival time:

-Cultural village visit to discover traditional Rwandan dance, lifestyle, and community life
-Visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, an inspiring conservation center focused on gorilla protection and research

After the activities, check in at your budget lodge for dinner and overnight stay near Volcanoes National Park.

Gorilla Trekking and Return to Kigali

Gorilla Trekking and Return to Kigali

Early in the morning, transfer to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing from park rangers before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure.

The trek can take anywhere from a couple of hours to most of the morning depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once found, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing the gorillas as they feed, play, and interact within the forest.

After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch or refreshments before driving back to Kigali. Drop-off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport.
