Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel or airport in your private, custom-built 4x4 Safari Land Cruiser. Leave the bustling capital behind as you drive south through the scenic Maasai plains, arriving at your mid-range lodge in Amboseli in time for a fresh lunch.
After a short rest, head out for your first afternoon game drive. Amboseli is world-famous for its massive herds of free-ranging elephants and unmatched views of Mount Kilimanjaro. As the afternoon cools, the clouds around the mountain's snow-capped peak often clear, providing the perfect photographic backdrop as you track lions, cheetahs, and giant tuskers wandering through the swamps. Return to the lodge at sunset for dinner and a relaxing evening.

Full Day in Elephant Country

• Morning: Set out for an early morning game drive when Kilimanjaro’s peak is clearest. Visit Observation Hill for a panoramic view of the vast swamp networks, which are alive with hippos, pelicans, and hundreds of elephants. Return to camp for a late breakfast and mid-day relaxation by the pool.
• Afternoon: Head out for another game drive to explore different habitats, searching for lions, cheetahs, and massive herds of buffalo.

Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park (Lava, Springs & Rhinos)

Enjoy an early breakfast and depart Amboseli at 07:30 AM. Cross the spectacular Shetani Lava Flow—a massive, black jagged landscape formed by volcanic activity—and enter Tsavo West. Head straight to the famous Mzima Springs for a guided nature walk to the underwater viewing chamber to watch hippos and crocodiles. Arrive at your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, Visit the protected Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary to search for the endangered black rhino. Spend the rest of the afternoon trailing Tsavo's famous "red elephants."
Evening: Relax at the lodge balcony, which directly overlooks a highly active waterhole frequented by elephants, buffalo, and leopards.

Tsavo West to Nairobi (Farewell to the Wild)

Wake up early for a 06:30 AM sunrise game drive through the hilly, dramatic landscape of Tsavo West. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast at 08:30 AM, check out, and enjoy a final en-route game drive as you exit the park gates. Join the main highway at Mtito Andei and drive back toward Nairobi, stopping for a hot lunch en route [own budget]. Arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon (around 04:30 PM) for your drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
