Arusha - Tarangire National Park

Your safari begins with a pick up from your hotel in Arusha or from the airport by your professional safari guide.

Then you will drive to Tarangire National Park, a journey of about 2 hours through local villages and countryside areas.

Upon arrival, you will check in at your hotel and prepare for your afternoon safari experience in the park.

Later, you will head out for a game drive exploring areas around the Tarangire River, Silale Swamp, and the open savannah sections where many animals gather for water and grazing. During the game drive, you may spot large herds of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, ostriches, and many colorful bird species, while leopards and cheetahs may also be seen with some luck.

After the game drive, you will drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay. The drive from Tarangire to Karatu takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you will sign out from your hotel in Karatu and prepare for the next part of your safari adventure.

Then you will drive to Ngorongoro Crater, a journey of about 45 minutes to 1 hour to the crater entrance gate.

Upon arrival, you will descend into the crater for a game drive where you may spot black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, gazelles, jackals, flamingos, and many bird species found around the crater floor.

You will enjoy your packed lunch at the picnic site near the hippo pool while continuing to experience the rich wildlife inside the crater.

After lunch and the game drive, you will leave Ngorongoro and continue with a scenic drive to Serengeti National Park.

Upon arrival in Serengeti, you will head to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Game Drive in Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, you will head out for a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park where you get a chance to see predators becoming active early in the day.

During the morning game drive, you may spot lions hunting or resting after a night of activity, cheetahs scanning for prey, leopards hiding in trees, and large herds of wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and many bird species.

An optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged in the Serengeti at sunrise for an extra fee.

Enjoy lunch within the park before resuming for a game drive.

In the afternoon, you will resume your game drive exploring areas like Seronera region and nearby wildlife-rich zones where you may continue spotting lions, hyenas, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and large herds moving across the park.

Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park - Arusha

After breakfast, you will depart from Serengeti and begin the drive back to Arusha through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey takes approximately 7 to 8 hours including stopovers and lunch on the way.
