Northern Serengeti Full-Day Game Drive
Northern Serengeti Full-Day Game Drive
Today is fully dedicated to the northern Serengeti. After breakfast, you head out with picnic lunch for a full day game drive focused on the Great Migration and predator activity around the Mara River. This region is known for large herds of wildebeest and zebra moving in search of fresh grazing and water, creating constant wildlife action.
The landscape here includes rolling hills, riverine forest, open plains, and rocky outcrops that support strong predator presence. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, elephants, and large herbivores are commonly seen. One key highlight can be a Mara River crossing, where thousands of animals attempt to cross crocodile-filled waters. These crossings are unpredictable and can happen at any time, sometimes after long waiting periods.
The northern Serengeti is quieter than other areas, giving a more exclusive safari feel. After a full day, return to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight.

Northern Serengeti Full-Day Game Drive
Another full day in the northern Serengeti allows more time to track migration movement and improve chances of witnessing a river crossing. Your guide adjusts the route based on recent sightings, focusing either on the Mara River or nearby valleys and plains where predators follow migrating herds.
This area also supports resident wildlife year-round. Expect elephants, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, and diverse antelope species. Predator activity remains strong, especially early morning and late afternoon when hunting is more active.
Birdlife is also rich, with vultures, fish eagles, kingfishers, and secretary birds commonly seen. The scenery changes throughout the day, from riverbanks to open savannah, giving varied game viewing.
Sunset light often creates strong photographic conditions across the plains. Dinner and overnight again in Northern Serengeti.

You then travel toward Central Serengeti with an en route game drive. The scenery shifts as you enter Seronera, an area known for permanent water sources and high wildlife concentration throughout the year.
Central Serengeti is especially good for big cats. Lions are often seen resting on kopjes or under trees, leopards stay around riverine forests, and cheetahs hunt in open plains. Wildlife density increases as you approach the Seronera Valley.

Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater – Game Drive – Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, you leave Central Serengeti and drive to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You descend about 600 metres into the crater floor for a game drive in one of Africa’s most concentrated wildlife areas.
The crater has grasslands, swamps, forests, and a soda lake that attracts flamingos and other bird species. Wildlife density is high due to permanent water and fertile ground.
You have strong chances of seeing the Big Five, including lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and black rhinos. Other animals include zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, hippos, and warthogs.
