After breakfast, you will be picked up by our representative and transferred to the Masai Mara National Reserve, driving for about 5 hours with a stopover at the Great Rift Valley for scenic views. One of East Africa’s most famous reserves, the Mara features rolling grasslands and diverse wildlife. You will arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive where you may see lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, buffalo, wildebeest, gazelles, and many bird species before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will enjoy game drives in the Masai Mara National Reserve, the northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem. The Mara is especially known for its high population of big cats and other predators. You may spot elephants, lions, cheetahs, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests across the plains. In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

En route, you will stop at the Equator for memorable photos and continue to Mbarara for lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to Bwindi, arriving at your lodge in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6

Gorilla trekking

Gorilla trekking

After breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a briefing on gorilla trekking. The trek is unpredictable in duration, depending on the movement of the mountain gorillas. You will set off with a packed lunch, drinking water, and are advised to wear strong hiking boots and a light rain jacket due to the forest’s changing weather. The trek may take 1–6 hours, and once the gorillas are found, you will spend one hour with them for conservation purposes before returning to the lodge for lunch.

Due to its high walls, many animals remain within the area, offering excellent chances to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, antelopes, and more.
