After breakfast, drive deeper into Bale Mountains National Park toward the spectacular Sanetti Plateau, one of Africa’s largest Afro-alpine ecosystems at over 4,000 meters above sea level. Search for the rare Ethiopian wolf, giant mole-rat, and endemic high-altitude bird species while enjoying breathtaking mountain scenery and wide open landscapes. Continue south into the lush Harenna Forest, a dramatic contrast to the plateau above. Explore dense rainforest, bamboo groves, waterfalls, and wild coffee forest areas while learning about the region’s unique ecology. In the late afternoon, drive to Robe for overnight stay at a comfortable hotel with mountain views and warm hospitality.
