Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Your luxury Kenya safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi. After a short safari briefing, you will drive north through the lush highlands of Central Kenya, passing scenic coffee and tea plantations with beautiful views of Mount Kenya along the way. The journey offers a gradual transition from the green agricultural countryside into the dramatic semi-arid landscapes of northern Kenya.

You will arrive in Samburu in time for lunch and check-in at the elegant Soroi Larsens Camp, beautifully located along the Ewaso Nyiro River. After some time to relax and enjoy the camp facilities, you will head out for your first afternoon game drive in Samburu National Reserve.

As the sun sets over the acacia-dotted landscape, you will return to camp for dinner and overnight stay. Enjoy the sounds of the African wilderness from the comfort of your luxury tented suite.

Full Day in Samburu National Reserve

Spend the entire day exploring the untamed beauty of Samburu National Reserve. Early morning is one of the best times for wildlife viewing, as predators are still active and the temperatures are cooler. After an early breakfast or optional bush breakfast, proceed for an extensive game drive across the reserve.

Return to camp for lunch and relaxation during the hottest part of the afternoon. Guests can enjoy the camp’s swimming pool, riverside views, or simply unwind in the comfort of the luxurious tents.

Later in the afternoon, embark on another game drive in search of more wildlife and breathtaking landscapes. Samburu’s dramatic scenery, combined with fewer crowds, offers a truly exclusive safari experience.

In the evening, return to camp for dinner under the stars and another peaceful overnight stay.

Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

After breakfast, depart Samburu and journey south toward the world-renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy, located in the foothills of Mount Kenya. The scenic drive passes through beautiful landscapes and local towns before arriving at the conservancy in time for lunch.

Check in at Serena Sweetwaters Camp, one of Kenya’s most luxurious safari camps, uniquely positioned around a busy waterhole frequently visited by wildlife. After lunch and some relaxation, head out for an afternoon game drive.

The conservancy also hosts the Big Five and has one of the highest predator densities in East Africa. Expect excellent sightings of rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, and possibly cheetahs.

Return to camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay while enjoying uninterrupted views of animals visiting the waterhole.

Following breakfast, depart Ol Pejeta and travel through the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy scenic viewpoints and breathtaking landscapes along the way.

Arrive at Lake Nakuru in time for lunch and check in at Lion Hill Lodge, beautifully situated overlooking the lake and surrounding wilderness. After lunch and relaxation, proceed for an afternoon game drive within Lake Nakuru National Park.

After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and continue your journey toward the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. The drive takes you through picturesque Rift Valley landscapes, local villages, and rolling plains.

Arrive at Soroi Mara Bush Camp in time for lunch and check-in. Nestled in a tranquil setting close to the Mara ecosystem, the camp offers an authentic yet luxurious safari experience.

After some relaxation, depart for your first afternoon game drive in the Maasai Mara. The reserve is globally recognized for its exceptional concentration of wildlife and spectacular scenery. Full Day Maasai Mara Safari Experience

Today is dedicated to a full-day safari adventure in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. After an early breakfast, depart with packed picnic lunches for extensive game viewing across the reserve.

The Maasai Mara offers some of Africa’s best wildlife sightings. With luck, you may spot the Big Five in a single day. The open plains provide excellent visibility for observing predators hunting and herds grazing peacefully across the savannah.

Your experienced safari guide will take you to some of the reserve’s best wildlife viewing areas while sharing insights about animal behavior, local culture, and the ecosystem.

Optional activities such as a Maasai village visit or an early morning hot air balloon safari can also be arranged at an additional cost.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive. As the golden African sunset paints the plains, return to camp for your final evening on safari.
