Arrival in Amboseli National Park

After a scenic drive from Nairobi, upon arrival, you will be greeted by the iconic sight of Mount Kilimanjaro towering over the plains. You will arrive in time for lunch before proceeding in for game drive for the rest of the day focusing on the park’s famous free-ranging elephant herds. The park’s ecosystem, sustained by underground springs, provides a lush habitat that attracts a high density of wildlife, offering a perfect introduction to the southern safari experience.

Full day Game Drives in Amboseli

You will dedicate the full day to exploring the park’s marshes. These wetlands are critical for the survival of hippos, elephants, and a vast array of bird species. The morning and evening hours are ideal for photography, as the mountain’s peak is often clearest at these times. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in the heart of the park, allowing you to remain in the field and maximize your wildlife viewing opportunities.

Amboseli to Tsavo

You will travel to the vast wilderness of Tsavo. This park is known for its rugged, volcanic landscapes and the famous "red elephants" where you will learn and see how they got that name. Tsavo is one of the largest protected areas in the world, offering a sense of isolation and raw, untamed beauty. You will spend the afternoon exploring the volcanic terrain, including the Shetani Lava Flows, which provide a stark, otherworldly contrast to the surrounding bushland.
