Day 1

Your day begins with pickup from Arusha followed by a scenic drive toward Materuni Village on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided cultural walk through lush coffee farms, banana plantations, and beautiful local landscapes while learning about Chagga traditions and village life. Continue with a short hike to the stunning Materuni Waterfalls where you can relax, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful natural surroundings. After visiting the waterfalls, return to the village for a traditional local lunch and an interactive coffee-making experience where you will roast, grind, and prepare fresh organic coffee using traditional Chagga methods. On clear days, breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro can be seen from the village before returning to Arusha in the afternoon.
