Our specialist will be at Entebbe International Airport to warmly welcome you upon arrival and assist you with your transfer directly to your lodge in Kampala for check-in and relaxation. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore some of Kampala’s nearby attractions, offering a first glimpse into Uganda’s vibrant capital city.
Kampala is a lively and dynamic city known for its rolling hills, cultural heritage, bustling markets, and historical landmarks. If time permits, you may visit sites such as the Uganda Museum, Kasubi Tombs, local craft markets, or take a short city drive to experience daily life in the capital. The city offers a blend of tradition and modernity, reflecting the rich culture of Uganda.

Today we depart Kampala and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s second largest and most diverse wildlife reserve. The journey takes us through scenic countryside, rolling hills, and rural landscapes, before reaching the park at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, also known as the Mountains of the Moon. The park lies between Lake Edward and Lake George, connected by the beautiful Kazinga Channel.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is rich in wildlife, home to Uganda kob, gazelles, warthogs, and waterbucks. Be ready to see large herds of elephants, and countless hippos along the waterways. With a bit of luck, you may spot lions resting in the savannah or even a leopard hidden in the trees.
On arrival, check in at your lodge located on the edge of the park, offering stunning views over the Kazinga Channel. From your private verandah, you may watch wildlife gathering at the waterhole. As evening falls, enjoy the sounds of nature, especially the grunting of hippos.

Today, you will wake up early before sunrise and enjoy coffee, tea, and donuts served in the lounge as you prepare for an early morning game drive. You will set out just in time to witness the first golden rays of light over the savannah, creating perfect conditions for wildlife viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
During the game drive, you will search for a wide variety of animals and are likely to encounter elephants, buffaloes, lions, waterbucks, leopards, Uganda kobs, and large groups of warthogs roaming freely across the plains. The morning offers excellent opportunities for photography and unforgettable sightings of Uganda’s rich wildlife.
In the afternoon, you will embark on a relaxing boat safari along the famous Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. This waterway is known for having one of the highest concentrations of hippos in the world. You will also see crocodiles, buffaloes, elephants bathing at the shoreline, and a wide colorful bird species.

After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions often seen resting in fig trees. This scenic drive offers a unique opportunity to enjoy wildlife viewing along the way as you pass through open savannah landscapes.
You will continue your journey through one of the most beautiful regions of Uganda, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa,” due to its rolling green hills, terraced farmlands, and breathtaking scenery. The route takes you through lush bamboo forests, and winding roads as you gradually ascend into the misty Bwindi highlands.
Along the way, you will experience changing landscapes from savannah plains to dense rainforest, offering stunning photo opportunities and a true sense of Uganda’s natural diversity. Upon arrival in Bwindi, you will check in at your lodge nestled on the edge of the impenetrable forest, surrounded by rich vegetation, cool air.

Today is the big day as you prepare for an unforgettable encounter with one of Bwindi’s gentle giants, the rare mountain gorilla. For most travelers, this is the absolute highlight of their journey through Uganda. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is one of the most unique ecosystems in Africa, home to both mountain gorillas and chimpanzees, making it the only forest on the continent with this remarkable combination.
The forest is also rich in biodiversity, hosting five other primate species, over 113 species of mammals, more than 200 butterfly species, and around 360 bird species. This makes the trek not only about gorillas but also about experiencing a thriving natural environment.
As you hike through the dense rainforest, your experienced guide will point out important signs of previous gorilla activity such as dung, nests, broken vegetation, and chewed bamboo shoots, helping you understand their behavior and movement. The journey through misty trails, thick vegetation, and uneven terrain.

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will begin your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport. This scenic drive takes you through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, with rolling hills, rural villages, and farmlands offering a final glimpse of the country’s natural charm.
Accommodation for tonight is not included in the program. If you plan to depart on the same day, please ensure your flight from Entebbe International Airport is scheduled for 10:00 PM or later to allow sufficient travel time from Bwindi NP.
Should you prefer to extend your stay, we can arrange additional nights in either Kampala or Entebbe upon request, depending on your travel needs and schedule. This provides flexibility to relax, rest, or explore more of the city before your departure.
