Your safari begins with an early morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel as you journey south toward Amboseli National Park. The drive takes you through Kenya’s scenic countryside, passing local towns, traditional homesteads, and expansive plains before arriving at the park in time for lunch at Kibo Safari Camp

After some time to relax, set out on your first game drive through Amboseli’s diverse landscapes of open grasslands, seasonal swamps, and acacia woodlands. The park is renowned for its large elephant herds, which are often seen roaming freely against the backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro on clear days. You may also encounter buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and a variety of birdlife as you explore the park.

As the afternoon light casts a golden glow across the plains, continue enjoying wildlife viewing before returning to Kibo Safari Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Full Day in Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, depart with packed lunches for a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park, allowing ample time to explore its diverse habitats without returning to the lodge. Accompanied by your guide, venture across the park’s open plains, swamps, and acacia woodlands in search of large elephant herds, buffalo, zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and the predators that inhabit the area.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated scenic spot within the park before continuing your wildlife exploration throughout the afternoon. Amboseli’s ever-changing landscapes and abundant wildlife provide excellent opportunities for photography, particularly with Mount Kilimanjaro serving as a spectacular backdrop when weather permits. As the day draws to a close, continue game viewing under the warm evening light before returning to the lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Amboseli -Nairobi

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive as you exit Amboseli National Park, offering one last opportunity to take in the park’s spectacular scenery and wildlife. Keep an eye out for elephants, plains game, and, weather permitting, the iconic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Thereafter, begin your journey back to Nairobi, traveling through Kenya’s scenic countryside and rural landscapes. Arrive in the early afternoon and be dropped off at your hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, marking the end of your safari.
