Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

• Your safari begins with a pickup from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) or your hotel in Nairobi by your professional safari guide.

• You will then drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, a journey of about 3.5 to 4.5 hours via the Great Rift Valley viewpoint where you may stop briefly for photos and refreshing.

• Arrive at your hotel in time for lunch and preparation for the first game drive of your safari.

• After lunch you will go on your first game drive around Lake Nakuru National Park.

• You will explore areas around the lake shore, acacia forests, and open grasslands where you may spot white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, waterbucks, impalas, baboons, and large flocks of flamingos (seasonal). With some luck, leopards and tree climbing lions may also be seen.

• After the game drive, you will proceed to your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

• You will explore open savannahs and riverine areas where you may spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, antelopes, hyenas, and lions. Leopards and cheetahs may also be seen depending on luck.

Exploring Maasai Mara

• After an early breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game drive with packed lunch inside the reserve.

• You will explore different regions of Maasai Mara including Mara River, where you may witness hippos, crocodiles, and (seasonally) the Great Migration crossings.

• An optional hot air balloon safari can be arranged early in the morning at sunrise at an extra cost, offering a breathtaking aerial view of the Maasai Mara plains followed by a bush breakfast upon landing.

• After breakfast, you will check out and drive to Isebania border, a journey of about 5 to 6 hours through Maasai countryside.

• After border clearance, you will meet your Tanzania safari guide and continue the journey into Serengeti National Park.

• You will enter Serengeti with an en-route game drive as you head towards the Northern Serengeti region, which is known for its dramatic landscapes and high wildlife activity.

• During this transfer game drive, you may spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and antelopes as you gradually move deeper into the park.

• You will continue exploring the Northern Serengeti while driving approximately 3 hours from the Isebania border toward your accommodation, enjoying wildlife sightings along the way.
