Upon arrival in Malawi, you will be warmly welcomed by a Baseline Travel team member who will assist you with your transfer. En route, enjoy a brief stop in Mandala House for lunch and refreshments, offering a relaxed introduction to Malawi’s cultural charm.
After your break, continue your journey to Liwonde National Park, where your safari adventure begins. You will check in at Mvuu Camp, nestled along the Shire River, perfectly positioned for immersive wildlife encounters.
Day 2 is dedicated to exploring Liwonde’s rich ecosystem through guided game drives and optional boat safaris. Expect close encounters with elephants, hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife in one of Malawi’s premier wildlife destinations.
On Day 3, after a relaxed morning, depart for the shores of Lake Malawi, traveling to Salima for a scenic lakeside retreat where the rest of the day is at leisure. Unwind by the lake and enjoy a delightful dinner as you take in the tranquil surroundings.

On Day 6, spend a full day exploring the reserve through guided safari activities. Discover Nkhotakota’s untouched wilderness, home to reintroduced wildlife, diverse birdlife, and vast miombo woodlands, offering a more remote and intimate safari experience.
