Day 2

From Arusha to Ndutu

From Arusha to Ndutu

After breakfast, we leave Arusha and travel into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands, we continue toward the Ndutu region, where our game drive begins with a focus on experiencing the Great Migration.

From December to April, enormous herds gather around the Lake Ndutu area, situated between the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, drawn by the rich, fresh grazing lands. This period also attracts a high concentration of predators searching for prey. Beginning in January, the wildebeest calving season starts, providing a remarkable chance to witness newborn calves taking their very first steps in the heart of the migration.

Day 3

Today marks your second full day in the beautiful Ndutu region, offering even more time to experience the incredible landscapes and abundant wildlife that make this area so special. After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will depart for a full-day game drive across the vast open plains of Ndutu, an area well known for its rich concentration of animals and breathtaking scenery.

As you explore the region, you may encounter large herds of wildebeest and zebras grazing peacefully across the plains, along with giraffes, elephants, antelopes, and many other species roaming freely in their natural habitat. Ndutu is also famous for its high number of predators, so there is a good chance of spotting lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and if fortunate, even elusive leopards during your safari. Depending on the season, you may also witness the spectacular Great Migration and the unforgettable sight of newborn wildebeest calves taking their first steps.

From Ndutu to Central Serengeti

From Ndutu to Central Serengeti

After breakfast, you will travel toward the cooler areas of Ndutu before continuing your journey into the Central Serengeti within Serengeti National Park. Along the way, enjoy a scenic game drive as the landscape gradually opens into the vast plains for which the Serengeti is world famous.

Serengeti National Park is one of Africa’s most spectacular safari destinations, celebrated for its endless savannahs and exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities. The park supports an incredible variety of animals, including impalas, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos, all thriving within its diverse ecosystems. The Serengeti is also well known for its impressive population of predators, giving you an excellent chance to encounter lions, cheetahs, and leopards in their natural habitat as you explore this iconic wilderness.

This morning, enjoy a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with chances to spot giraffes and other wildlife along the way. Around lunchtime, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO-listed natural wonder surrounded by dramatic volcanic walls and rich wildlife.

Enjoy an afternoon game drive on the crater floor, where you may see wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, numerous bird species, and the rare black rhino. After exploring the crater and enjoying its beautiful scenery, drive back to your accommodation in Arusha for an overnight stay.
