Day 1

Depart Arusha after an early breakfast (7:00 AM) and head south towards Tarangire National Park — approximately 2 hours from Arusha town. The park is famous for its enormous elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and exceptional birding. Enter the park for a game drive en route to your budget camp, scanning the riverine woodland for lion, leopard, cheetah, wildebeest, and impala. The Tarangire River draws huge concentrations of wildlife in the dry season. Check in to your lodge and unwind before a communal dinner under the stars.

After an early breakfast, depart Tarangire and drive north-west toward the Serengeti — the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth. En route, pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with its spectacular highland scenery and Maasai villages. Enter the Serengeti through the Naabi Hill Gate and head into the central Seronera Valley — the year-round heartland for resident predators. The Seronera River corridor is one of Africa's finest wildlife areas, home to large lion prides, cheetah, leopard, hippo, and countless plains game. Arrive at camp in time for a sunset game drive.

A full day dedicated to exploring the world's most iconic safari destination. Rise at dawn for the morning game drive — the best time to catch predators on the hunt before the heat of the day. The wildebeest migration, depending on season, sweeps through the southern or central Serengeti in massive columns of animals stretching to the horizon. Return to camp for a midday break and a hot lunch, then head back out for the afternoon and sunset drive across the golden plains. Your guide will share tracking expertise and natural history knowledge throughout the day.

Ngorongoro Crater Floor and Return to Arusha

Rise early for the iconic descent into Ngorongoro Crater — one of the natural wonders of the world. The 600-metre deep caldera is home to approximately 25,000 large mammals, including the densest population of lions in Africa, black rhino, elephant, hippo, buffalo, and vast herds of wildebeest and zebra. Your guide will navigate the crater floor for a spectacular morning of game viewing. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before the afternoon ascent back to the rim. Drive back to Arusha in the late afternoon, arriving in the early evening, completing your Tanzania safari circuit.
