You will be picked up early in the morning and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. The journey takes you across the equator and into the southern section of the Great Rift Valley, where the beautiful Lake Nakuru is situated. This alkaline lake is world-famous for its rich birdlife and is considered one of Africa’s natural gems because of its unique ecosystem and scenic surroundings.
Lake Nakuru is best known for its impressive flocks of flamingos, which at times line the shoreline in vibrant pink formations, creating a stunning natural display. In addition to its birdlife, the park is an important rhino sanctuary, protecting both black and white rhinos within its secure habitat. You may also encounter other wildlife, including buffaloes, giraffes, and various antelope species across the park.

You will start your day with an early morning departure toward the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. This legendary safari destination is one of the few places in Africa where wildlife still roams freely in large numbers across vast, untouched plains. As part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem, the Mara is particularly famous for the Great Migration, when thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the savannah while predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas closely follow.
On arrival, you will check in at your lodge or camp in time for lunch, giving you a chance to relax before the afternoon activity. Later, you will set out on an exciting game drive across the rolling grasslands, where you may encounter the Big Five along with many other animal species in their natural surroundings. The open savannah, dotted with acacia trees and framed by dramatic skies, offers outstanding scenery and excellent photography opportunities.

After breakfast, you will head out for a full-day game drive with a packed lunch, giving you the opportunity to explore the reserve from morning until late afternoon. This incredible wildlife destination is famous for its iconic black-maned lions and high density of resident animals. It is also among the few places where the Big Five can often be spotted within a single game drive, offering an exceptional safari experience.
Cheetahs are commonly seen in the area and are known for their calm behavior around safari vehicles. At times, they may rest in the shade nearby or even climb onto vehicles as they scan the open plains for potential prey. The reserve is also a haven for bird enthusiasts, with close to 500 recorded bird species.

Day 5
From Masai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti National Park
From Masai Mara National Reserve to Serengeti National Park
On this day, you will leave the Masai Mara and make your way to the world-famous Serengeti National Park, crossing into Tanzania via the Isebania border. The journey takes a full day and offers beautiful scenery along the route, with possible wildlife sightings as you exit the reserve. In the morning, you will enjoy a final game drive in the Masai Mara, taking in the last views of its diverse wildlife and endless savannah.
After completing immigration procedures at the border and continuing into Tanzania, your safari continues with a game drive as you enter the Serengeti. The landscape opens up into vast golden plains, revealing one of Africa’s most iconic ecosystems, home to lions, elephants, giraffes, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras.
In the afternoon, you will proceed with a game drive en route to your tented camp, arriving later in the day to relax and unwind after a long but rewarding journey.

The world-famous Serengeti National Park is renowned for the Great Migration, one of the most remarkable wildlife movements on the planet. Game drives in this extraordinary park offer unforgettable experiences, especially when passing through the scenic crater highlands and stopping at viewpoints that reveal sweeping panoramas of the landscape below. From there, the scenery expands into the endless Serengeti plains—“Serengeti” meaning “endless plains” in Kiswahili—a name that perfectly reflects its vast horizons.
The park is home to over two million large mammals, including more than one million wildebeest, alongside hundreds of thousands of zebras and Thomson’s gazelles.
On the second day, after breakfast, you will embark on a full-day safari featuring both morning and afternoon game drives to maximize wildlife sightings. Almost all major East African wildlife can be found here, including the rare black rhino. It is also known for having one of the highest densities of animals in the world.
Within the crater, you will encounter a mix of habitats such as rivers, swamps, woodlands, and open grasslands, each supporting a thriving ecosystem. From the rim, the wetlands often appear mist-covered and are frequently dotted with flamingos.

After breakfast, you will set off across the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Manyara National Park for a full-day game drive. This picturesque park is celebrated for its remarkable scenery, featuring dense groundwater forests of fig and mahogany trees that shelter large troops of baboons and blue monkeys. It is also well known for its abundant bird species, making it a rewarding destination for birdwatching all year round.
Lake Manyara hosts a wide range of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, impalas, hippos, and various primates. The hippo pool is a key attraction, where these large animals can often be seen gathered in groups within the water. The park is also famous for its uncommon tree-climbing lions, as well as seasonal flamingos that gather along the shores of the alkaline lake.
