Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, the driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a scenic two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park.

You will spend the day traversing the park’s unique landscapes, dominated by ancient baobab ridges. The game drive focuses on tracking Tarangire's massive resident elephant herds and diverse birdlife.

A packed picnic lunch is served at a scenic vantage point overlooking the permanent waters of the Tarangire River.

The safari continues along the riverbanks and seasonal swamps to maximize your chances of spotting lions, leopards, and large herds of migratory plains game.

You will drive to a budget campsite inside Mto wa Mbu, where your cook will pitch the tents while you enjoy a hot, freshly prepared dinner.

Day 2

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Tarangire to Serengeti National Park

Following an early breakfast, you will depart camp and drive through the cool, forested Ngorongoro Crater highlands toward the plains of the Serengeti.

You will cross the main gate into the Serengeti’s expansive savannahs. The drive focuses on the transition of ecosystems, scanning the terrain for giraffes, zebras, and moving plains game as you head toward the central basin.

A packed picnic lunch is enjoyed at Naabi Hill Gate while your guide handles the park entry permits, allowing for a short leg-stretch and panoramic views of the plains.

The safari shifts deep into big cat territory as you enter the Seronera Valley, exploring river loops and rocky outcrops (kopjes) that serve as excellent vantage points for resident lions and cheetahs.

You will arrive at the public Seronera Campsite at sunset, where you will settle into your tents and enjoy a hearty dinner under the stars.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will spend the morning exploring new tracks in the Seronera area. The itinerary focuses on tracking a wide range of species, including resident elephant herds, hippos in the pools, and diverse birdlife.

You will return to the campsite for a hot lunch prepared by your camp cook, followed by breaking camp and packing the vehicle for departure.

The safari continues as a slow game drive en route back toward the park boundaries, giving you a final look at the endless plains before you ascend into the cooler crater highlands.

You will arrive at Simba Campsite on the Ngorongoro Crater rim by early evening, setting up camp in the misty mountain air and gathering for dinner around the campfire.

Day 4

Ngorongoro Crater Floor to Arusha

The day begins with an early morning descent down the steep 600-meter walls into the spectacular, self-contained volcanic caldera of the Ngorongoro Crater.

You will spend the morning tracking wildlife across the varied habitats of the crater floor, navigating the soda lakes and fever tree forests that shelter a permanent population of roughly 30,000 large mammals.

A packed picnic lunch is served at the scenic Ngoitoktok Springs picnic site, allowing for a relaxed lunch break with views of resident hippos in the pool.

The safari concludes with a final focused search for the iconic "Big Five," offering an excellent opportunity to spot the endangered black rhino before you ascend the caldera walls and begin the drive back.

You will return to Arusha by late afternoon, concluding your group adventure with a drop-off at a central location or your hotel.
